Bearpaw - Northeast WA Turkey Hunts (turkey down)
« on: April 11, 2012, 05:38:14 PM »
Guided or Unguided Hunts
We can provide meals and lodging and I have nearly 400 birds on our leases in Stevens County. We recently had several cancellations, I even have hunts available for opening day. If you want to kill a turkey, contact us, Guaranteed Guided Hunts are available, if you don't kill a bird, you get half your money back. But we average 130% success so plan on most likely taking 1 or 2 birds home.

I still need some hunters for opening day..... There are numerous items I am willing to take on trade?

Great offer, good luck for a great spring Dale.  They were gobbling up a storm behind my house tonight.  First time I heard them all year.

Thanks Machias, good luck to you too, half the time they wake us up in the morning gobbling behind the house.

It's been fun watching these birds at the house, there was a group of 8 jakes that ruled the roost and we have watched them gang up and run off other older Toms right down the driveway, then they come running back to the yard. But now the jakes have broken up and I have seen an older tom courting several of the hens, he is king since the the jake group broke up.  :chuckle:

I still need some hunters for opening day..... There are numerous items I am willing to take on trade?

Here's a few photos of some previous years opening day hunters at noon on the opener.

Turkeys were coming in at another setup, the guys are on private land, but the birds happened to be close to a road, a passing car stopped and shot at them, scaring them away.... :bash:

They just started talking again, hopefully they will come in again.

Here's the picture of Pete's bird, really was a dark colored bird, about a 9" beard.
